Dylan scowled, he had gotten adventurous after hearing rumors about the Perpetual Forest and it's surroundings. He had gone into the forest and gotten himself lost for god knows how long before he stumbled into a foggy area with ruined buildings. "Where on earth am I now?" Dylan grumbled to himself, annoyed. He placed his hand on a piece of concrete that looked like it had once been a small part of a wall, the ruined structure collapsed at his touch. "Really? I got myself lost in the middle of a ghost town?" Dylan said aloud, trying not to freak out and get himself lost even more.

The dark haired sophomore continued exploring the area for a little while longer before sighing and falling onto his butt, he had been walking for hours by now, he was sure of it. Dylan sighed and laid back on the ground, staring up and expecting to see the sky, only to be greeted by the sight of a thick fog. He let out another great sigh. "If I don't find my way out in the next couple of hours, I'm going to slingshot myself out of here using some Darkness." Dylan grumbled, not caring how ridiculous his claim sounded.

[Ethan]

Ethan stumbled through the mist as he tried to gain his bearings in the thick mist. The boy clad in black shoes, blue jeans, white shirt, and a grey jacket noticed walls a few feet in front of him before he heard some talking off in the distance. Then he heard someone talking rather loudly that said, "Really? I got myself lost in the middle of a ghost town?" Ethan decided to stay just out of the person's site, as he circled the person. When Dylan spoke again, Ethan immediately realized who it was and grinned.

Ethan decided to mess with Dylan a little as he grabbed some chunks of wall and tossed one to his right which made a loud thud off of a wall, then threw the other in front of him which landed near Dylan. Then Ethan quickly sprinted in one direction then quickly sprinted back in another. To make it seem like multiple things were circling Dylan.

A loud thud came from the side, Dylan turned his head in the direction of the sound so quickly that he was surprised that he didn't get whiplash. He saw a figure blocked out by the fog throwing a chunk of concrete towards him before sprinting off to the right. Scowling, Dylan stood up and walked towards the figure, he could hear footsteps getting softer before they became louder again. Dylan didn't bother trying to call the person, it was obvious that whoever it was, he was trying to mess with him.

Grumbling incoherently, Dylan walked deeper into the ruins, forget the fact that he didn't know anything about this place, he had to deal with the troublemaker first. Perhaps the pest would stop following him if he went deeper in. Dylan stayed alert as the fog around him got denser as he walked deeper into the abandoned city.

Ethan kept his eyes on the shadow that was Dylan, as he quietly followed the boy deeper into the ruins, this made the boy chuckle on the inside. He started to lose site of Dylan and then completely lost him as it became where he couldn't see a few feet in front of him, "Shit." Ethan pulled out his lighter and lit his entire right arm on fire so he could at least get an idea of where he was going. He moved all the fire to his palm and held it up so he could use it like a flash light, giving him more directional light than just ambient light from his arm.

"Shit." Dylan heard the word sound out from his right. The voice was familiar, it was the voice of someone that he disliked greatly, Ethan. Dylan smirked and allowed the Darkness to envelope his feet, from the top of his ankles to the soles of his shoes. He turned to Ethan's direction and launched himself diagonally, jumping a few feet above Ethan's head and landing on the roof of an old building, or perhaps it was just another floor of a building and one of the walls were destroyed, it didn't matter to him. Ethan glowed like a beacon with the fire he was using.

Dylan paused, what should he do now? He had an advantageous spot that he could use against Ethan but what did he want to do with it? It wasn't his goal to kill Ethan, but he wanted to get back at him for his stunt in Study Hall and for throwing the bits of concrete at him just now. He scowled, he couldn't make up his mind. Silently, Dylan landed on the ground behind Ethan, deciding to follow the human torch.

Ethan continued walking forward, when he came to a wall. He smirked a little when he heard the quick sound of someone dropping onto the ground behind him. He turned right and walked along the wall before he found an opening just big enough for him to fit through. He however continued walking as he closed his hand extinguishing the flames. He continued walked when he found another opening as he disappeared inside, it was practically pitch black inside the room besides where the opening was. Ethan walked down a hallway looking through each door way as he came to it. The boy again quickly disappeared into a room and stood still as he waited for Dylan to walk by.

Dylan followed the human torch as he turned right and entered an opening, Dylan noted that the opening was just big enough for Ethan to fit through... Which meant that he couldn't fit into it. The light coming from Ethan's fire went off as Dylan continued to stare through the opening, Ethan wanted to play hide and seek with him eh? Well, he could do that if he wanted, Dylan would just leave him alone.

He launched himself upwards and landed on the roof of the building that Ethan had entered, now if he really wanted to be mean, Dylan was pretty sure that he could put enough pressure on the roof to send it crumbling, but that could get Ethan seriously hurt. With a sigh, Dylan relinquished the thought and looked around the area, the fog was ridiculously thick, he could barely see more than a few feet in front of him. Dylan sat down on the roof of the building and started to plan his escape from the wretched city.

[Ethan]

Ethan stood there for a few minutes before he realized Dylan didn't follow him in, then he heard footsteps on the roof. Ethan engulfed his arm in flames and found a hole in the roof by him. The boy climbed up the the side of the wall and pulled himself onto the roof and walked over by Dylan and sat down. Ethan sighed a little and looked over at Dylan. Ethan then looked back over into the fog and extinguished the flames again, "Why do we even fight each other?"

Dylan heard footsteps coming from his right, Ethan had managed to find a way up it seemed. Probably from a crack in the ceiling. Dylan simply sat there and did nothing as the shorter teen made his way over and sat down next to him. Dylan paid him no mind, simply letting out more Darkness from his inner storage, the roof was being enveloped by the substance and Dylan could see, no, feel that there were a few holes and cracks on the roof.

"Why do we even fight each other?" Dylan heard the pyromaniac ask. "Because we piss each other off too easily." He replied without even needing a second to come up with a response. His storage was almost empty now, the Darkness was spread throughout the entire roof and was enveloping the walls of the building they were seated upon.

[Ethan]

Ethan smirked as he continued to look into the thick fog, "Yeah, but...why?" The boy continued sitting there as he started playing with his lighter, "I mean think about it, do we really know anything about each other? I mean since day one at Darks we've just hated each other...for absolutely zero reason. It just doesn't make sense to me."

Dylan shrugged, "Hell if I know." He manipulated the Darkness to leave the roof and explore the area around them, Ethan probably wouldn't notice with the fog being as thick as it was. Dylan would use the Darkness to map out the area around him and figure his way out. That is, if he didn't run out of energy before he got out.

Dylan lay down on the roof, there was only enough Darkness left in his storage to envelope his body, the rest of his supply was exploring the area. "Got any idea how to get out of here?" Dylan asked, not really expecting a good answer.

Ethan slightly shook his head, "When I was messing with you on the outskirts I got rather disoriented in terms of direction." The boy reached over to his right hand grabbed some dead leaves on the roof and held one up as he engulfed his hand on fire making the heat rise and leaf started flowing up and away until it drifted out of the heat and came back down. He continued doing this until he grew bored, "Yeah, the fog doesn't lift around here very often because of the heavy tree cover, it's why it's 2:30 and looks like it's 7:30."

Dylan facepalmed, naturally Ethan would get lost while trying to mess with him. He looked over to the pyromaniac and saw him playing with leaves, not giving a damn about the fact that the two of them were lost. Dylan was irritated by the sight, was this really the time to be wasting energy playing around with some leaves? He was about to berate the pyromaniac when Ethan started talking about the trees trapping the fog in. "Ugh, why don't you just burn down the bloody trees?" Dylan groaned, calling back his Darkness and giving up in mapping out the area, it was like a damned maze!

[Ethan]

Ethan chuckled knowing his rather calm nature was annoying the shit out of Dylan. Ethan looked around and then back at the roof they were sitting on, "If I did that the smoke would surely kill us, this forest conceals a city, it's absolutely massive. Do you think we're gonna be able to get out of here for the smoke becomes thicker than the fog?" Ethan went back to messing with his lighter, "I mean seriously, how was that even a good idea to start with?"

Dylan closed his eyes and took in a deep breath as the Darkness reentered his storage, he left small patches behind to seal the holes on the roof so that they wouldn't fall into the building. "Right, let's just climb up a tree then, at least there won't be any fog to deal with that way." Not giving Ethan time to reply, Dylan raised his legs and tucked them into his chest, reclining backwards on his back and jumped onto his feet. He dusted off his dark jeans and looked at Ethan, giving the smaller teen a "Well, what are you waiting for?" look before heading off to the right.

[Ethan]

The boy smirked as he used just his legs to stand up from the sitting positionhe was in. Ethan followed right behindas he engulfed both of his hands in flame to make any climb easier. The flames seemed to flow upwards towards his elbows as he walked, this wwasn't a condensed version like he normally used, he was very relaxee and so were the flames.

Dylan reached the edge of the roof and hopped down, Ethan was probably right behind him so he quickly took a few more steps forward before calling back the patches of Darkness he left on the roof. "We'll just go in a straight line, we won't get lost that way." Dylan called out without looking behind him, continuing to walk down an empty path that was most likely a street at one point.

[Ethan]

Ethan hopped down from the roof as well, rolling when he hit the ground to reduce the impact on his ankles. Ethan followed a bit off to the right when he noticed there was a wall there and dead leaves all the way he could see down. So Ethan reached down and lit the leaves on fire, the flames quickly shot down the row and lit up that side of the street, "Well, that should work, and straight line is a good idea as long as we're not going the wrong direction."

Dylan really hated the thought of going in the wrong direction, if they ended up on the wrong side of the forest when they got out of here, Dylan was going to be really angry. "I certainly hope we aren't." He continued walking till the street forked in two opposite directions, another building was in front of him. Darkness enveloped his arms and legs. "We'll have to climb up this building, it's a little too high to jump." Of course, by too high to jump, Dylan meant that the building was over four stories high, he could launch himself with his Darkness but it still wouldn't be enough.

[Ethan]

Ethan eyed Dylan sceptically, "Yes, let's climb a who fucking knows how old building that's more than two stories, how's that a good idea again? Let's just go around it, it's a city you know." With that Ethan took the right fork and followed the left side of the street until it joined with another street and went straight again.

Dylan shrugged. "The other one held the two of us up pretty well." Dylan had already explored this area via his Darkness from earlier, the building seemed stable enough to him then, but Ethan was already walking to the right. Dylan simply followed behind the human torch quietly, wondering if there was any reception in the abandoned city, if things got too bad he could try calling someone on his phone for help. After walking down the street for a while, Dylan spoke up. "I wonder why Darks doesn't just get someone to sap away the fog from this place, you'd think that with all the students and staff members there'd be someone able to do that." He was speaking mainly so that the place wouldn't be filled with silence, things would get too boring that way.

[Ethan]

Ethan looked behind him for a second, "It held us up because most of the interior walls were intact, if you look at that building, the front has fallen into the street, and the walls are weak, it may look safe to most people, but climbing the broken face would make the floor collapse inwards. Which would be death. And on the reason why Darks doesn't get someone to do that, one this place isn't even close to Darks, and secondly, have you noticed how understaffed Darks has been this year? Teachers have just disappeared over the summer, and you expect them to worry about a forest not even by the school?"

Dylan raised and eyebrow and held both of his hands up, "Just trying to make conversation here, no need to get all huffy over it." He let down his arms and shoved them into his pockets. "So why do you think the teachers left? They getting paid too little or something?" Dylan tried to initiate conversation again, this time hopefully without sounding like an idiot.

[Ethan]

Ethan sighed a little as he continued walked, "It's honestly anyone's guess. And to be honest I don't really care, less teachers, less classes, more free time for me in a place away from home." Ethan continued until the fog started to lighten up, "That's...weird, why does the fog get thicker more towards the city where there's less trees?" Ethan turned around as he looked back at where he'd come from.

Dylan held back a sigh, looks like he wasn't too good at starting a decent conversation. The fog was starting to light up, so that was good at least. Then Ethan stopped for some reason, Dylan was about to ask what was wrong when the pyromaniac spoke. Dylan paused and considered the question for a moment, turning back towards the spot they had just been in. "It really is odd. Do you think that the fog is being produced deeper in the city or something?" Dylan strained his eyes to see farther into the city, it didn't work.
