Demetrius dropped to the ground faster than jake would've believed, but he slid under the swing, then burst forward into and ox style tackle into Jakes stomach.

(That's a little hard to do you know? With the enhanced speed and all. Unless Demetrius' seal increases his physical capabilities too.)

Jake's eyes widened at the move, Demetrius was faster than he thought. Jake tensed the muscles around his stomach, holding his breath and bracing for impact as Demetrius tackled him. The tackle probably hurt Demetrius more than it hurt him, Jake realized. He still had his hardened skin. His skin was hard enough for him to punch through stone without tearing or breaking. Jake allowed himself to be pushed back by the tackle, using it to give momentum for him to make a flip backwards. In his flip, Jake slammed the back of his heel into Demetrius' chin with enough strength to send him a few feet into the air and probably crack his bone.

Demetrius's feet left the ground as he did a complete flip in the air and fell face first into the dirt. The kick made his head caught a bad hangover, in the span of three seconds, then the pain receded as he got up. The tackle had possibly hurt a bit worse than the kick, but he barely noticed the difference. Then he felt something cool run down his neck, blood from his fall. The Artist drew out his crossbow and shot off three electric bolts, almost in a straight line at his opponet

Jake cursed, the bolts were irritating to dodge while he was so close to Demetrius. The Half-dragon flapped his wings hard and the subsequent gust of wind caused by it sent the bolts flying to the side. Following up, Jake spat out a medium sized fireball at Demetrius, if only to distract him so that he could get close. Jake ran towards the Artist behind the fireball.

Demetrius smirked and switched his crossbow out for his gloves, they still had a bit more power in them. He slowly pulled his arms back, summoning up a large slab of stone. Then slung it into the flame ball, making it spin like a big disc.

Ah, there was the earth manipulation. Jake felt that Demetrius was holding back on that quite a bit. Perhaps the gloves had to recharge? Or maybe it held a limited amount of energy before becoming useless. Willing his gloves to return to their gauntlet form, Jake caught the disc of rock, spinning in a full circle to keep it's momentum and flung it back at the Artist.

Demetrius swung at the slab, the gloves taking in its force, making it crumble before contact with his body. The Artist kept going in a straight path, charging up with the energy of the earth, making them start to gleam with a soft green tint.

Jake mentally raised an eyebrow as the gauntlets started gleaming with a slight green tint. He wasn't too surprised that the slab crumbled, but what was that green tint on the gauntlets? Jake didn't feel too good about it. Jake jumped into the air and spread his wings. The half-dragon shot two fireballs towards the Artist, he would have sent more but his flame reserves were still running a little low for his tastes.

He let his gauntlets disappear, the only thing glowing where the rings on his left hand. The artist drew his crossbow and fired off a few Ice bolts, aiming for his wings, these were modified to resist winds, but were blunt tipped. Didn't mean they'd hurt like a bastard once they did though.

Jake sighed, more elemental bolts. He really didn't want to get hit by one. Flapping his wings to create another gust, Jake was surprised when they flew through without much difficulty. The half-dragon swerved to the side dodging all but one bolt. Jake grit his teeth, feeling his skin freeze as the frostbite developed, numbing the affected areas. Jake internally sent his flames to the affected areas on his body, attempting to quickly defrost before it turned serious. The half-dragon looked down at Demetrius impassively, barely able to contain the glare that he had almost sent to the Artist, he was so going to get burned for his later. The numbness was now disappearing.

Demetrius smirked and fired more ice bolts at Jake's body, moving closer. HE wasn't in berserk mode just yet, he had to be pressed on physically and mentally before he started going wild. After the sixth shot, he crouched slightly, bracing his arms against the dirt, the earth gauntlets reappeared and started to pull in more and more energy, the green tinted metal slowly turning into darker shades.

Jake narrowed his eyes at Demetrius' smirk. He wasn't doing well in this fight, he had gotten careless and he also held back far too much in fear of hurting the Artist. Jake dropped to the ground, the frostbite completely gone due to his flames. The six bolts flew over his head and crashed against the diamond wall harmlessly. Jake took in a deep breath and bent his knees slightly. Then he was off, disappearing in a burst of speed so quick that it left a crack on the dirt due to the force of his run. He would look like nothing more than a blur in the eyes of Demetrius. Jake blurred past the Artist, spinning as he did so to make a 180 turn. He continued his sprint and aimed a punch at the Artist's back, he held back nothing.

(And by holding back nothing, it means that Jake is using enough strength to break steel with his bare hands. Oh, and his gauntlets are active at the moment so it'll tear into Demetrius too.)

Demetrius could keep up, the blur of color overstimulated the boys eyes, making him lock up. Once Jake passed him, he tracked the winds stream to a turn but took his punch into the side, only by shear luck the curved spikes were digging into his muscles and not popping anything important out of place. He nearly felt it, not because he was used to pain, but because his brain kicked off a strange feeling of numbness to keep him out of shock. The artist grit his teeth as he attempted to dislodge the damned things, clenching his metal coated fists, and pushing out with them, the ground forming a wall of jagged spikes between the two boys.

Oh, Demetrius was a little better at close combat than Jake expected. The Artist had managed to move to his side at the last moment before his fist connected with his back. Jake felt the ground shake, he tore out the gauntlets from Demetrius' side and jumped backwards. Jake suffered a few superficial cuts, they didn't bleed, only causing tears on his jeans. Jake ignored the blood, Demetrius' blood, flowing from the talons of his gauntlets into the small opening that allowed his dragon claws to pop out. Jake mentally checked his reserves, there was enough energy now. Jake focused the flames, seemingly punching the air in Demetrius' direction with his gauntlet. A focused beam of flames, only as big as his fist and orange in color, flew through the wall of spikes and towards the Artist.

Demetrius flopped quickly onto his back and rolled away from the beam of flames, once he stopped he stood up. Still not feeling the hole in his side, which was an open gash of 5 inches, he raised his gauntlets and pushed at the air between them, the ground complied, pulling itself up like a tidal wave. The Artist pushed with both hands and it started barreling towards jake at high speed.

Jake was unfazed. It was no surprise that Demetrius managed to dodge the flames, after all, he had reacted to one of his high-speed punches just mere moments ago, the beam of flames was easy in comparison. Suddenly, the ground pulled itself up into the shape of a wave, Jake smirked, unseen due to the wave of earth barreling towards him. Demetrius had to use gestures and movements to manipulate his wave, Jake didn't know if he had to stand still, but it was worth a shot. Jake fired another beam, focused blue flames the size of his fist and around 3 meters long shot through the dirt, aimed at Demetrius' last position. With that done, Jake turned on his heel and dashed backwards, jumping into the air and flying above the trees.

Demetrius ducked and leapt to the right of the beam, letting the mass of debris settle, and saw Jake flying up. 'Son of a bitch...' He thought as he formed a claw with his hand, the mass of dirt connected and turned into a solid stone ball, he took a step forward and pushed it towards Jake, hurling it like it was a missile.

Jake turned around, the sound of the wave collapsing was louder than he thought. Suddenly, his eyes caught sight of something moving, he focused on it more and saw that it was a ball of stone, Jake was amused. Jake caught willed his gauntlets to transform back to it's glove state and caught the ball with his right hand. Jake smirked, clenching his fist and crushing the rock. Warm-ups were over. Still clutching the crushed rocks in his hand, Jake dived down towards the Artist.

Demetrius seemed to turn to face Jake head on, holding his ground. He raised his gauntlets, cocking his arm back slowly. The gauntlets started to glow brighter, then a spike formed around it. He pointed it at Jake, bracing his palm against his elbow and launched it, making it spiral.

Jake let a predatory smirk cross his face, a spiraled spike made out of earth. Demetrius had to do better than that. Jake swatted it aside easily with his gauntlet encased hand, it was just as annoying and weak as a fly. Correction, flies were more irritating considering their size and speed. Jake laughed, wrapping his wings around himself, it turned his fast glide into a deadly dive. At the last five feet, Jake spread his wings once again, slowing the dive, giving Jake momentum to spin and launch a devastating kick at the Artist's injured side.

Demetrius flicked his finger back and the Spike flipped in a full 180, and come back on Jake, this time gravity being the one pulling it, while it was being urged by its maker, it came down faster, almost noiseless. Then Jake kicked him in the side, still feeling no pain from it, he simply grabbed his ankle, and pulled Jim closer, aiming a armored punch into the half dragons stomach.

Jake was annoyed, he held back on instinct at the last second to prevent Demetrius from getting any broken bones. With the momentum from his dive and his draconic strength, Jake could've sent the Artist flying through a few trees and broken his ribs. Jake was pulled closer by Demetrius, the Artist aimed a punch at his stomach. Foolish. Jake caught Demetrius' hand by his wrist, twisting it to his side. Then his eyes caught something, it was soft but noticeable, no doubt due to his enhanced senses. It was similar to an arrow flying through the air. Jake looked up, his eyes widening rapidly as he saw the spike flying towards him. Jake spat out an explosive fireball at the spike, using his wings to wrap around him and his free hand to cover his face.

Demetrius flexed his palm slightly, a seemingly random motion as the spike split into multiple smaller spikes, lashing through the fireball and coming down on Jake faster. Demetrius teleported out oh jake grasp, reappearing a few meters away. He gripped the air and pulled the spikes down, into a tornado surrounding his opponent. "Push me harder, I'm still in control" he said as he pulled the spikes closer to jakes body.

The spikes crashed into Jake's wings. They broke on impact. His wings were hard enough to withstand bullets after all. Standing up, Jake stared at the Artist, weighing his options. On one hand, he could stop holding back completely and risk giving him permanent damage, or on the other, he could stop this right now and leave Demetrius to master his powers on his own and possibly hurt other people in the process. Jake knew what he had to do. The Half-dragon blurred, his image becoming distorted by the speed he was moving at. He was dashing in a straight line, it would be easy to stop him if they had the right ability or weapon. Jake prepared to punch the Artist in the chest.

Demetrius teleported behind jake, letting him continue on his path. Then started after him, running with slightly higher speed now that he was on level 3 of his seal. He could feel a bit of anger slipping into his thoughts, all of it pent up from year and years of abuse. He let it fuel his strengh as he let the ground propel him.
