Jake raised an eyebrow, this was quickly escalating like his last battle, this could no longer be called a spar. Fatal attacks were being thrown out each second, he would admit that he overdid it with the exploding fireballs but a volley of blades? Jake rolled to the side, avoiding the blades before he kicked off the ground and dashed at inhuman speeds towards the artist, sending a volley of the original weaker tennis ball sized fireballs at Demetrius. However, with the seal now released, Jake's control of smaller scale attacks were now rather bad. As such, one of the fireballs were the cannon ball sized versions that would explode on contact.

Demetrius took a step to the left and threw out a paper sheet, it turned into a sheild, then he flipped over it, swinging a new blade at Jake. Hey Jake unlocked his seal, he was keeping it equal, and if it had to be a match to near death, so be it. Close Combat probably was foolish, but with a tolerance of pain and his seal pumping him full of adrenaline, it was a option.

Jake smirked, that was Demetrius' mistake, he was going to end this now. With a single thought, Jake's gloves transformed into dark, evil looking titanium gauntlets that had three spikes jutting out above the knuckles, the spikes were curved slightly so they hooked into anything that they stabbed into, but that wasn't why Jake brought them out. As the blade got closer to Jake, he spun to the side, the same side that Demetrius was holding the sword with, his left arm caught the sword, it's blade not piercing the titanium. With blinding speed, Jake brought his right hand up to Demetrius' neck, his fingers stretched completely straight and his claws coming out of the holes placed on the tips of the gauntlet. "It's my win." Jake said as his claws lightly touched the artist's neck.

Demetrius bristled slightly, but he nodded. "You sure?," He asked. He knew no more moves he could make, Jake had him by the wrist and neck. he could go to the next level...Jake didn't know he had 4 levels to his seal. At stage 2 he could warp though the paper he had laying around on the ground. He focused on the next stage of his seal, adrenaline pumped and spiked higher, his muscles rippled slightly, and he let his eyes turned electric blue. Then he was gone, and Jake was clutching a piece of paper.

Jake's eyes widened as Demetrius' muscles rippled, did he release his seal? But didn't he do so already? Wait, he said something about having it in layers, did that mean he could release his seal in levels? Before he knew it, Demetrius was replaced by a piece of paper, it got crushed in his hands. Jake let out a low growl, his gauntlets absorbing flame energy from him and burning the paper to ashes. Jake tilted his head higher, trying to find the artist by scent. It took a little bit, but Jake finally found him, he reeked of ink and regular human odor. The half-dragon sent a volley of small fireballs to the artist, this time none of them turned into their more deadly versions.

Demetrius had reappeared behind Jake, a good few yards away. The fire balls lapped around his aura, as it flickered lightly and faded. He withdrew a part of gauntlets, a bit like Jake's, but they were lighter, and had three stones on the knuckles, emeralds. He raised his guarded fists slowly. He had no training in hand to hand but he spent some time fighting against the towns people back home.

Gone, that was the first thing that Jake thought, one moment the artist was there, the next he wasn't. This time it took only a few seconds to locate him, the artist was behind him, quite a bit away from him too. Jake jumped into the air, spinning as he did so and allowed his wings to burst from his back. The half-dragon hovered in place for several seconds before his wings abruptly spread themselves fully, then in a burst of speed, Jake blurred from view, flying towards Demetrius. As Jake flew, flame energy was being stored within both his gauntlets, he'd have to conserve. There was no telling how many more levels Demetrius had. By allowing his gauntlets to store flame energy and using the stored energy, Jake allowed his natural reserves to refill themselves as he breathed.

Demetrius braced his arms back, the gauntlets starting to glove a soft green color as he waited. Unlike Jake's, Demetrius's gloves didn't absorb heat, they took in matter that was around it,hardening up and building power. the tiny bits of dust and such that was in the air. He let them charge, then once Jake was in range, dashed at him full speed, also noticing a sheet of paper being blown up by the stream of wind from Jake's wings. Even though it was like rushing at a bull, Demetrius made sure to teleport just above Jake's last position, then took a swing at the boys right wing.

Jake's eyes widened as the artist disappeared, he quickly spun around, wanting to locate Demetrius as soon as possible. Instead, he had to fly over a punch that was aimed at where his wing used to be, he quickly lashed out with a kick to the artist's stomach. The kick had a bit more power and much more speed than it was supposed to, it moved so quickly it blurred and probably enough to put a smash through wood easily. Jake was worried that he had hit the Demetrius too hard. The artist would certainly be feeling that for the next few days.

Demetrius took the shot, flying back into a tree, without a sound. He slipped to the ground and got back up slowly. He was winded for a bit but slowly got over it. It hurt but it wasn't the bad. He dashed at Jake again.

He just didn't give up did he? Jake decided that he would have to incapacitate the artist, pain didn't work against him, neither did words. "Are you okay?" Jake asked, his voice loud and clear as the artist continued to dash at him. Jake then let out a sigh and landed on the ground, wordlessly running towards the artist, this time at the speed of an Olympic sprinter.

"I'm Fine!" He said as he and Jake were in range. He swung at Jake's stomach. The two of them were directly in close range, neither could escape the next move.

The two of them were in close range, but Jake had advantages that Demetrius didn't have. Clearly Demetrius knew that neither could escape the next move, that didn't mean that Jake couldn't block it, he spun to the side of the artist, his left arm catching the punch and twisting it to Demetrius' back. The gauntlet on his right arm turned back into his glove as he quickly gave a harsh backhand to the artist's neck, aiming to knock out the teen. Mr A had taught him at least that much before he disappeared.

Demetrius went tense for a moment, his brain almost automatically pulling him into a void of darkness as he passed out. The ink weapons that were laying around disapated. The Artist slumped forward like a bag of rocks., the gaunlets on his hands turned to ink but slipped up his sleeves and into his tattoo.

Jake sighed, catching Demetrius as the gauntlets on his hands reverted to ink and slipped back to his tattoo that the artist had shown him. Probably to reform it. Dismissing his left gauntlet, it changed back into it's glove form. Pulling the artist onto his shoulder, Jake walked over to the tree where he had thrown his clothes up onto. He set Demetrius against the tree in a semi-comfortable position, then he flew up and retrieved his clothes. Jake stayed on the branch, waiting for the artist to wake up. His seal reappeared on the back of his hands.

Once Demetrius woke up an hour later, a whiplash of pain hitting him all over, then it faded. His threshold of pain took over quickly and he looked around. Jake knocked him out, which automatically made him the winner. But as he got up shakily, he popped the tendons in his neck, then looked up for Jake.

The sound of popping alerted him, it looked like the artist was finally awake. Jake honestly wasn't expecting him to wake up for at least another hour. He stepped off the branch and allowed himself to slowly hover downwards. "I'm right here." Jake spoke, noticing the artist looking for him.

HE looked over and nodded. "You knocked me out" He said. There was no surprise, or anything else to it, then again, he knew how it felt to be unconscious against his will. "I guess you win"

Jake nodded, "I guess I do. You put up a great fight though. I probably would've let it go on longer but I didn't want us going overboard. My last fight ended badly, I gave permanent damage to another person. His eye got burned out." Jake explained, landing on the ground. "How are you feeling?" The half-dragon asked.

Demetrius chuckled and stretched slowly. "Normal, i've been knocked out a few times, from over using my power, or by manual beatings" he said shrugging.

Jake kept the frown off his face, it wasn't his place to tell people how to use their own powers. He simply nodded instead. "Lets head back then, we've been away from the school for quite a while now. The teachers are gonna skewer me for this. And I was doing so well in not skipping classes lately too." Jake chuckled at the last sentence, he was so gonna get thrown into detention for the next week. Jake's wings folded and retracted back into his back. The half-dragon started walking off into the trees.

The Artist followed his companion, his paper collecting and slipping into his hoodie. "That being said, i just skipped out on my first day of school" He said matter of factly.

Jake chuckled. "We'll be detention buddies then." The half-dragon stated. He wasn't even bothering to look. He knew the perpetual forest by heart, he'd spent more time in this forest than he did in the actual school. The dead, grey trees blocked any sunlight from entering, the trees themselves looked evil in a sense, grotesque shapes similar to faces were etched in the trees. It was for this reason that majority of the people in school and the city claimed that the forest was haunted. Jake welcomed it, he enjoyed the rumors, it kept people away and allowed him to have a quiet spot to enjoy the peace and tranquility. Finding his way around the forest the first few times had been hard though, it seemed to lead you in circles until you got used to the winding trails in it.

Demetrius laughed. "I'd love to but i had a date remember?" He joked for the first time in his life. He folded along Jake's steps, marking the path with his eyes.

Jake laughed with the artist. "Guess you'll have to sneak out then." The half-dragon half joked, half stated. "Think you can do it?" Jake taunted. Demetrius was going to kick him in the ass for this some day, but until then, Jake would continue to have his fun for as long as possible.
