A Stroll in the Dark [OPEN!]

Karasu had been walking back from the Asian Market within Megiddo City. In one hand he carried a bag of some provisions; in the other he was eating skewered Chadango, or green tea-flavored dumplings. It was nighttime, but all along the walkway were lamp posts that lightened the way forward. At this hour he intended to walk back to the University on foot, he wouldn’t be eating dumplings otherwise. With him were the recurrent ninja tools that could be used for unprecedented self-defense or otherwise, but he could use the skewer alone as a lethal weapon. He continued walking further and further away from the city at this point, but, he wasn’t necessarily out of it just yet.

She was wandering again. She needed to get out of these habits. They usually turned out bad for her. She was just walking. She wore a black dress and carried her scythe that's always with her. She saw a boy walking down the street. He seemed around her age. He was walking in the direction of the school. She needed to get back home... or at least back to school. Maybe she could just follow him around. It was better than wandering. She changed her path a little bit to walk in the same direction as him. May as well see where he's going.

After having taken a few mismatched turns on his way out of Megiddo City, Karasu was convinced that someone had been following him. What would they want? He had all the time to think, because whoever it had been was deadset on catching up to him. He had every reason to be cautious as well, due to the hour of the day, and just how convenient it’d be for someone to take advantage of another person walking all by himself at night. Before his pursuer could turn, Karasu had noiselessly leaped his way up to into someone’s lawn, hiding behind a bush. It was a young girl from the looks of it. No ordinary girl would be walking at this hour… Was she a super-powered assassin come to kill the one who erased a loved one’s memories? Or perhaps she was just an undergraduate of Darks… But why would she be careless enough to have a scythe against her back within an area full of regular people? This situation was perplexing to him. He hastened from the bush, scarcely making a sound, and had his tanto’s blade to the back of her neck. “…Why have you been following me?” He asked her quietly, because if he were to kill her, he’d do it speedily, without speaking loud enough to draw anyone’s attention.

The boy was going some strange directions. It felt like they were walking around in circles. Eventually he just disappeared. She looked around left and right. He seemed to just vanish. She took a couple more steps before she felt a presence behind her. She heard a voice. It sounded angry. She turned around. It was the boy. He was holding a blade to her neck. She looked into his eyes. She tried to stay calm. "I... I got bored..." She knew wandering was a bad idea. She should've avoided it. It was hard. She got bad feelings in her head when she tried to avoid it. Really bad feelings.
