Power Information
Power Description: Kael emits a sensation of fear and despair, the strength of which can vary inconsistently. Most often when sealed this manifests with an uneasy sensation in those around him. The fear emission is unstable and difficult to control, and will often peak in relation with his emotions which has reportedly led to intense paranoia and even temporary mental breakdowns in certain victims. Kael thrives in the darkness. His overall state of physical being (speed, strength, agility, etc.) improves with the absence of light. These physical improvements also scale to an extent with the amount of light (in a semi-dark environment he will get a limited amount of the benefits). Shadows are the highest level of darkness in this case, and in the shadow of another physical body he gains incredible speed. It's also been reported that he is more difficult to see in darker environments, to an extent seemingly greater than the average (though some dispute that in theory this is more in relation to his collected being and not an aspect of his power). Under these circumstances he's come to be classified as a "Shadow Stalker". His eyes are adapted to the dark, and his brain can process visual information at far greater speeds in the dark as well.
Seal: Fake eyeball, created by request of the faculty upon his admission. His power is released to full scale when he removes it.
Drawbacks: His power can cause confusion, but it also has the undesired effect of provoking adrenalin. This can in certain cases be a curse as well, seeing as to how it may cause a foe to reap the benefits of an adrenaline rush. It should also be noted that to someone expecting or knowledgeable of the effect he has around him, this field of emotion could give him away in certain cases. Furthermore, It should be noted his own shadow does not count towards any of the shadow related skills, as it for unknown reasons closer resembles the properties of soft light. Though he is powerful in the dark, this has caused a level of weakness towards the light. He will often appear sickly and sluggish in a bright environment, as well as have diminished senses, particularly in terms of eyesight.


Appearance
Hair: Black in color. Uneven bangs, where the right side drops to cover his right eye while the other side often hovers above the eyebrow. Most often unkempt and untidy, not necessarily attractive. Stretches in a V down almost all the way down the back of his neck. It is important to note that the bangs over his right eye are thick, and totally block that eye from vision.
Eyes: A shining dark green color, often fogged up with tints of greyish-blue.
Height: 5'11"
Skin Tone: Fringe albino, though less prominently so after much time spent in the desert, though it is still quite pale.
Other: Though this aspect is not a visible scar for the most part, his right eye is prosthetic (also his seal), as he lost an eye on military duty.

Personality
Description: Kael is a very reserved and calm person. He is very introverted and valorises intelligence in others, being a very logical and intelligent person himself. He has trouble trusting people as a result of his past now that he starts to realize and feel he's been used before. To the core he is very kind, but often comes of as void of emotion as his interactions are often cautious and thought out.
Flaws: He's grown up alone for the statistical majority of his life, as a result of the uneasy pitiful state he would appear to be in more often than not, as well as his affinity to keeping away from the light. This would spawn in even the closest of relatives a feeling of detachment. He thus suffers from a deep social ineptitude as well as a difficulty communicating.
Likes: Soft light, dark places, activity in the night-time hour.
Dislikes: Places associated to the light, crowds of people, memories of his childhood.

History
Family/ Relatives: He technically has no listed family (for reasons that will be brought to light bellow) though he did have a mother and father who he was never really close to as a result of the lifestyle he lead due to his powers limitations on him.
History: Even as a child, people would generally have a bad feeling spawned in the pit of their proverbial gut around him, seeing as to how he always gave off this distraught vibe in his very being through the daytime hours. His parents were caring and he was never mistreated, though there was always an element of duty with the love his parents gave which lead to a detachment as a result of their inability to connect. This also followed him through his school years making it near impossible for him to make friends, though little was done about it.

Due to financial problems with his family and his desire for a higher education he joined a military program at the age of 17. At first in military school he was frowned upon due to his deteriorated physical stature in the light, but his talents soon came to light. General Aregon was the first to begin research on his abilities, and he was soon offered a place in the ranks of a prestigious A-team of spies. Thus for many years he worked for this network until the untimely death of the General. The new general who took his place was more understanding of a recently revived desire to go back to school and lead a more normal life, though he had to be placed under a form of witness protection to try to eliminate the imprint he had made with his work for the military over the years.

Due to his young look, it was decided to "give back" years of his life, so to speak, and his records were tampered with to change his age back to the younger more sensible age (from a schooling point of view) of 19. His name was also changed to "Kael Stevens".

Even despite the measures taken to hide his identity, Darks Academy managed to get in contact with him 2 years later. Having become more aware of what he is, he was eager to discuss their terms which soon lead to his future admission.

The emission of fear and the compatibility with shadows counts as two powers. You could try to merge them into one, but it would be difficult.

Alright. I feel like dropping the shadow bit but then it's hard to imagine a use for the fear emission alone. So I might re-write it all to fit with the shadow compatibility instead. Gonna think about it.

Alright, I basically removed the original secondary element to power and tweaked the history and background so it accounts for the lack of the original power (don't think I missed anything).
